Statewide Impact

The California Climate Action Initiative comprises two programs funded through the 2022–23 State Budget: the UC Climate Action Innovation & Entrepreneurship Awards and the California Climate Action Seed & Matching Grants. Together, these programs support 53 projects that directly address California’s climate action priorities and provide tangible impacts to communities vulnerable to climate change. Active in every region of the state, these projects involve more than 130 community, industry, tribal and public agencies, as well as 15 UC locations, 11 California State University campuses, and two private universities.
